Summary of new tax law signed by President Bush on Dec. 20, 2006.
Wed 12/27/2006 -- President Bush signed into law the Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006. In addition to extending certain tax provisions that had expired at the end of 2005 or that had been set to expire soon, the act introduces some new rules and important tax breaks.
